A New Reiki/Nonduality book is (apparently) in the works, from Nonduality Expressions ...

There have been requests for a book on Reiki as Advaita Nonduality and this sounds like a very good project; we shall see; maybe it will be done! Over the next few weeks, as Reiki HerSelf impels the process of writing, perhaps a book will begin to form. While no one can predict the appearance of a "future" we CAN know that Reiki will always express and manifest to the absolute benefit of the seeker of truth. Regardless of what that looks like!!

Reiki is Nondual. As a true Sage of Reiki commented, Love can NOT be dualistic; and Reiki is Love. Reiki and Nonduality or "Advaita" are just two labels for the One seamless whole, the Absolute arising as Freedom, Power and Love beyond description.

There is NO Duality in authentic Reiki. Full Stop!

Readers are invited to share their experiences with Reiki and I will share my own from time to time. Some may be included in the book.

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning "Universal Intelligence-Energy." This Infinite Energy is That which makes the sun shine, the planets move, the "person's" heart beat. THAT breathes the body, arises as thoughts of "I" and "other" and is the Ground Of Being for ALL there is in ALL Universes and Organisms.

Healing is already yours. Infinite Energy is always Present and Aware, and That is of the Nature of Infinite Unbounded LOVE.

You ARE That ... Absolute Freedom, Absolute Love. THAT arises as the "knowing" that Existence IS and loves Being ... in the Human Mind this Knowing arises as the sense of being, translated in language as the thought I, I AM.

You are NOT the body or mind. YOU are Beyond and Before that appearing of a bodymind that calls itself "me."

Reiki is healing that bodymind RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW. The knowing of I AM is Reiki.

Reiki is complimentary, not alternative

I was very sick with a nasty ear infection recently ... very debilitating to body mind spirit complex we call the organism. Reiki is a practice I use when such things happen. BUT I do not REJECT other healing modalities! I fact two courses of antibiotics and a course in steroids happened as well as self-healing using Reiki. This is importamt to understand; Reiki is not a a "substitute" for other conventional modalities but rather an infinite intelligent energy that promotes the effectiveness of all modalities.

My Guru Wayne Liquorman's Guru Ramesh Balsekar, has been quite ill and suffered a broken shoulder recently. Wayne reports that he basically says, bring 'em all on (including Reiki, by the way". You never know what might work!"

So exclude nothing; rather, if you fall ill, I suggest that you try it all and see what works for your particular arrangement of molecules and atoms.

Rei means Universal or Infinite, Ki means Energy or the Divine Creative Principle

Reiki is a system of natural healing that was RE-DISCOVERED by Dr. Mikao Usui, a monk and a devoted seeker of truth and true healing. According to legend, Reiki first appeared on Earth over 10,000 years ago, in the home of Vedic Knowledge (now known as India and Tibet). Dismayed by the suffering of humankind, the compassionate One, the Father, the Creator, God, took human form to instruct certain devoted and disciplined monks for Enlightenment and the ability to heal oneself and others completely, resulting in great love, divine power, and the bliss of freedom for the Initiate. According to the best research gathered by various Reiki devotees, due to Dr. Usui’s excellent devotion to God, to healing, and his impeccable discipline, Usui Sensei was given this same Reiki (Universal Life Energy or “Shakti”) initiation in 1922 directly.

This happened after many decades of Usui Sensei’s search, wherein he was finally being led to study ancient Sanskrit sutras for the mystical power the great masters like Jesus the Christ had been given by the Father.

His initiation and vision wherein he was given certain instructions and yantras or symbols of the Divine Energy arrived on the last night of an intense 21 day fast, purification and deep meditation on a mountain in Japan. He had given up hope at this point, and was prepared to die. Early in that morning, the darkest part of the deep black silence that precedes the dawn, Usui Sensei was startled by an intense ball of fiery light that seemed to be heading toward him from space. It grew larger and larger, as Usui prayed, and surrendered to his destiny, whatever that might turn out to be. If he was to die on this mountain, then so be it. “Let thy will be done, my Father.” But he did not experience body death. He experienced a complete transformation, the death of the little ego self, and birth as one who is One with the Father. He saw that the kingdom of heaven was right there where he was, and the One he had been seeking was his very own Self, that his True Nature IS the Father. That as the One called Jesus had said, the kingdom of heaven is within and all around each and every one of us.

Usui Sensei he had been given the greatest gift of a human birth — full healing, full enlightenment, full knowledge. Inside he was FREE even while his body lived on. He became who we all are . . .

Usui Sensei walked down from that mountain and began to heal, then to teach, founding a Ryoho or school called Usui Reiki Ryoho.

Ultimately Usui Sensei attuned (initiated) his student Chujiro Hayashi into what was then called a Usui Reiki Ryoho “Grand Master” – a title that is not longer used in the west where all Reiki Master/Teachers are receiving the same Divine Initiation and are able to also teach the Master/Teacher level to their students. Mrs. Hawaya Takata was healed at Dr. Hayashi’s Reiki clinic, and then received the attunement to Reiki Master/Teacher. A short while later, Mrs. Takata decided to move to Hawaii. After much discussion, she was given permission by her Master to teach Reiki outside of Japan. We are grateful to Mrs. Takata, who is responsible for the eventual spread of Reiki around the world.

In the early days of Reiki it cost about $10,000 to become a Master. Now, with the need of the times being so great, most Masters have reduced the fees to a small fraction of that amount.

Remember, “Reiki” is “Universal Life Energy.” Universal Life Energy is in everything – it lives in all creation. It is what keeps all living things alive. You may also hear it called: Chi, Prana, Ki, Shakti, Life Force, God, Spirit, or Love. Modern physics is only now discovering what our ancient civilizations already knew – our bodies are NOT SOLID – we are interacting fields of energy. Reiki works to balance this energy on every level: emotional, mental, physical and spiritual. Giving a Reiki treatment is simple. You simply allow the energy to flow. You need not be thinking any particular thing. Simply leave the mind behind, quiet yourself, and listen as Spirit works through you.

One of the greatest benefits of Reiki is that you may use it to bring healing energy to yourself as well as others –-- either by laying on of hands or beaming the energy to another ore yourself, or using advanced Reiki meditation.

The way to understand Reiki is to do it. The more it passes through you, the clearer you become as a healer. The giver is never drained. In fact, the giver’s health is enhanced as well. After giving a treatment you will feel relaxed, clear and more vital.
